2008 British GP, 2nd Free Practice Session: Heikki Kovalainen on top
The second free practice session for the British Grand Prix has ended with McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen on top of the timesheets. The Finn completed 35 laps with a best time of 1:19.989. Red Bull’s Mark Webber finished second (1:20.520, 32 laps) followed by Lewis Hamilton on third (1:20.543, 31 laps) and David Coulthard on fourth (1:20.589, 36 laps).
The Scot was followed by Nico Rosberg (P5, 1:20.748, 43 laps), Sebastian Vettel (P6 1:20.805, 43 laps), Jenson Button (P7 1:20.929, 39 laps), Felipe Massa (P8 1:20.943, 18 laps) and Kazuki Nakajima (P9 1:20.985, 18 laps).
Panasonic Toyota Racing had an unfortunate session: Timo Glock (14th) had a gearbox problem early during the session while teammate Jarno Trulli (20th) a heavy crash at Stowe which damaged badly his TF108‘s rear right end.
