2008 Belgian GP, 2nd Free Practice: Alonso on top

During the second free practice at Spa Francorchamps, Fernando Alonso clocked the fastest time. The Spaniard completed 20 laps with his best in a time of 1:48.454. Ferrari’s Felipe Massa had the second best time (1:48.504) ahead of McLaren-Mercedes duo with Heikki Kovalainen third (1:48.740) and Lewis Hamilton fourth (1:48.805). Fifth time for 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen (1:49.328) who spun out finishing onto the barriers at turn 9 and damaged the car’s rear wing. Williams’ Nico Rosberg finished sixth (1:49.405) ahead of Sebastian Vettel (1:49.427), Adrian Sutil (1:49.585) and Jarno Trulli (1:49.715).
