2008 Belgian GP, 1st free practice: Felipe Massa fastest

Felipe MassaDuring the first free practice for Sunday’s Belgium Grand Prix at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Felipe Massa has climbed on top of the timesheets with the fastest lap time. The Brazilian clocked a 1:47.284, 0.33 seconds faster than his teammate’s Kimi Raikkonen best lap (1:47.623). Third time for McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:47.878) ahead of Heikki Kovalainen (1:47.932) and Fernando Alonso (1:48.104). The Spaniard was followed by Mark Webber (1:48.428), Toro Rosso duo with Sebastien Bourdais (1:48.557) ahead of team mate Sebastian Vettel (1:48.958) and Toyota’s Timo Glock (1:48.997).
