Webber tops second Nurburgring practice
Fernando Alonso second fastest, Vettel third.
Red Bull’s Mark Webber was the fastest man on track today in the second free practice ahead of this season’s German Grand Prix.
The Australian clocked a best time of (1:31.711, 34 laps), beating by 0.168 seconds Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso (1:31.879, 38 laps) and by 0.373 team-mate Sebastian Vettel (1:32.084, 28 laps).
Fourth quickest time in the session Felipe Massa in the other Ferrari (1:32.354), fifth for Mercedes GP’s Michael Schumacher (1:32.411), sixth for Nico Rosberg (1:32.557), seventh for McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:32.724) and eighth for Renault’s Nick Heidfeld (1:33.098).
Ninth fastest time overall for Vitaly Petrov in the other Renault ahead of Adrian Sutil in the Force India, Jenson Button in the other McLaren, Paul Di Resta, Sergio Perez in the Sauber, Rubens Barrichello in the Williams and Jaime Alguersuari in the Toro Rosso.
