Takuma SatoAccording to latest rumors, former Super Aguri driver, Takuma Sato, could be back in Formula 1 racing in 2009. Following Super Aguri’s F1 team withdrawal back in May, the Japanese driver, hoping to get back racing in F1, would have refused an offer from Honda to race Le Mans and American series.

Consequently, the Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell, reported recently that Takuma Sato could fill Sebastien Bourdais’ or Sebastian Vettel’s seat at Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2009.

With the Frenchman’s poor performance so far and with Vettel’s promotion to Red Bull Racing next season, Sato could be, according to the publication, a potential candidate given his F1 experience (graduated to F1 in 2002 with the Jordan F1 Team).
