Michael Schumacher F1 returnMercedes GP has confirmed today Michael Schumacher’s F1 return. The German has signed a three-year deal with Mercedes GP, the team formerly known as Brawn GP.

The seven time F1 world champion, who retired from F1 racing at the end of 2006, will be at start of the first grand prix of the 2010 season at the wheel of a Mercedes GP single seater.

Schumacher will partner up at Mercedes GP with his compatriot Nico Rosberg. The German will also be reunited with Ross Brawn, with whom he won five F1 World Championships at Ferrari.

Schumacher was very close to return in F1 last summer after Felipe Massa‘s crash at the Hungarian Grand Prix, but had to cancel his comeback due to a neck injury.
