Peter SauberPeter Sauber, the former owner of the Sauber Formula 1 team who in 2005 sold it to BMW and became the BMW Sauber F1 team, has downplayed Niki Lauda‘s suggestions that the Hinwil based team could win its first Grand Prix race, on Sunday at the Monaco Grand Prix. “I have read that Niki Lauda thinks we can win there,” Sauber told a Swiss newspaper.”And that puts pressure on us. Robert Kubica also played his part by saying after the race in Istanbul that he will go well in Monte Carlo.”

“Of course, I am pleased when I feel that a new mood is developing,” he explained. “This is a prerequisite for improvement. But we must not allow the expectations to get out of hand. We are doing well, with a lot of confidence, but also with an equal amount of respect for the task we face,” he added.
