Mutua Madrilena LogoIt has been reported today that the Spanish sponsor Mutua Madrilena would’ve ended the contract with McLaren-Mercedes in order to get back, starting this season, with ING Renault. The Insurance Group switched with Fernando Alonso in 2007 but since Alonso returned to Renault it’s believed that the Group has decided once again to follow the Spaniard.

The local newspaper Diario As, reported that Mutua Madrilena’s relationships with McLaren would’ve broken despite the logo was visible on the overalls of all McLaren drivers during MP4-23′s official launch in Stuttgart. The newspaper reported also that the breach of contract would’ve been possible thanks to a clause related to Fernando’s stay with the Woking-based team and the Spanish insurance group would’ve signed a two-year deal with Renault for about 12 million dollars.
