Max MosleyThe embattled FIA president Max Mosley, following his involvement in the recent sex scandal, has been deprived of his status as FIA’s official representative in the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. The official representative for Formula One’s governing body will be instead Marco Piccinini and it seems that behind such decision there would be a specific request made by the Grimaldi family which is hoping to avoid any embarrassment.

A spokesman for Monaco’s Royal Palace told The Times that Prince Albert will not meet Mosley: “We have just been informed that Mr Marco Piccinini will represent the FIA at the Monaco grand prix. The Prince will only meet the official representative of the FIA, but maybe Mr Mosley will come as a private person to the grand prix.”
