Luca Cordero di MontezemoloFerrari President Luca Cordero di Montezemolo is hoping that his team and its drivers, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa, will stop making ‘stupid’ mistakes in order to be able to win the title this year. Di Montezemolo, however, believes that such ‘silly’ mistakes, especially the one made at Silverstone where the Team failed to swap Raikkonen’s tyres at the right time, will be a useful lesson and will teach them not to miss any new chances of winning.

“I hope we’ll win our eighth title in ten years,” di Montezemolo was quoted as saying to Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. “We will achieve that if we don’t carry on doing stupid things and obviously, I wasn’t happy with what I saw on Sunday, but I hope it’s a useful lesson. Knowing my men, I’m certain it is.”

“We are half-way through the championship and we are leading the standings,” continued the Italian. “But we have missed too many chances. This means that in the second half of the season, we must not lost any more.”
