MI5 officer resigns over Max Mosley’s scandal 

The Sunday Times newspaper has reported this morning that an officer of the British Security Service MI5 has been forced to resign from the counter-intelligence and security agency as he admitted that one of the five prostitutes involved in Max Mosley‘s sex scandal was his wife.

“Any suggestion that the service was involved in setting up Mosley is total nonsense,” a senior Whitehall official would have told the newspaper.

“I cannot talk about individual cases, but we do expect high standards of behaviour from all staff at all times, both professionally and privately. In any case where a member of staff is believed to have fallen below those standards, action will be taken,” added the official.
