Kimi Raikkonen, Wrooom 2008, interview2007 Formula One World Champion Kimi Raikkonen declared to be very confident and optimistic over Ferrari’s F2008 progress, following the first 3-day session at Sakhir’s Circuit in Bahrain. The Finn told to Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport: “The car is also very consistent over long runs. To drive a car like this is fantastic. It is already very fast, both in race and qualifying conditions”.

Raikkonen also added that the F2008 ‘is perfect’ now that traction control has been banned and that he’s planning to improve his unofficial track record established on Wednesday, in the next session scheduled for tomorrow: “In both situations (race and qualifying) it’s always very easy on the tires, it doesn’t destroy them. This is because it puts the power down in a very balanced way. Its traction is perfect”.
