Kimi RaikkonenKimi Raikkonen enjoys his moment after the two victories in France and Great Britain: “after two wins they celebrate us like kings. In the end not that much has changed other then that I feel happy. At Nurburgring, we want a hat-trick”.

“After the two races in North America people thought we had nothing more to give,” said Raikkonen. “But now, after two wins they celebrate us like kings”. After a difficult start of season, the Finnish has won the last two Grand Prix and seems to have found the right feeling with Ferrari.

An important win – “In the end not that much has changed other then that I feel happy, obviously”, said Kimi.”It was great winning in France and it was nice to repeat that in England only eight days later. I came close a couple of times on both of these tracks, but I could never complete the mission. Now with Ferrari, it worked out, finally. I especially enjoyed winning at Silverstone, at one of the tracks I always liked. More important than the fact that we beat McLaren at home is that we got some points for both classifications in the last two races”.

Irritated – Raikkonen after Silverstone’s Qualifier Session, placed in 2nd position because he made a mistake and he was really disappointed about that: “I was really irritated not being in pole position. We had a good race strategy and the right speed but in the last corner i went too wide. If you keep an internal trajectory in that corner, you can earn some seconds; but unfortunately I exaggerated. It was a mistake made by me and I’m always having a hard time when I make such errors. Fortunately, not being in pole, didn’t cost us much. Everything would have been easier but we did it either way”.

Spa Tests – The Finnish driver wants to repeat himself in the next Grand Prix, on July 22th at Nurburgring’s Circuit. In order to prepare for the race in Germany, Kimi will be in Spa’s track for the third and last day of tests, on Thursday. “The team has done fantastic preparation for these two races, but we must continue to work hard to stay ahead of our main rivals. I always liked Nurburging’s Circuit because it has many tight corners. Let’s hope we can make a hat-trick”.
