Panasonic ToyotaToyota’s Jarno Trulli might have struggled to get podium finishes in the last three years – last podium finish at the Spanish Grand Prix back in 2005 – but in Sunday’s French Grand Prix has proven that he’s still competitive and has fought hard for the third place. The Italian, dedicated his podium finish to Ove Andersson, Toyota’s first team principal, who passed away in a crash during a historic rally in South Africa last week.

“What a great result and a great weekend by the whole team,” said the Italian. “We were pushing really hard because we wanted to dedicate this result to Ove Andersson, who has done so much for Toyota Motorsport. Today was a great race, hard and tough. We had a good pace, even if we had to battle with some cars that were quicker than us.”

“I had to fight really hard but that is what people should expect both from myself and from Toyota,” he added.
