Lewis HamiltonFollowing Hamilton‘s statement on Wednesday where the Briton suggested to be ‘fitter than his rival Jenson Button’ when he learned that he finished 117th of the 1700 entrants in a semi-professional triathlon last month, the two Britons, during Thursday’s Press Conference at Silverstone, agreed to challenge each other in a Triathlon event on July 27th.

But about one hour later, Anthony Hamilton, Lewis’ father and manager, issued a statement that put an end to the challenge: “Lewis accepted the challenge like the good sport he is, and in the spirit with which he accepts things. But unfortunately for Lewis we are withdrawing him from this. We are in the middle of the championship, and that is the focus of our attention.”
