Grand Prix Drivers’ Association concerned about Singapore Grand Prix
The inaugural night race, the Grand Prix of Singapore, to be held on 26-27-28 September 2008, is currently worrying the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers’ Association) as the event will take place without any prior pre-race testing under lights. “At the moment we still don’t know what the schedule of the weekend will be,” F1 veteran driver and member of the GPDA, Jarno Trulli, told reporters in Valencia last Sunday.
“We are a little bit concerned,” he continued. “We go there, we haven’t tested, we don’t have any idea. It’s going to be a night race, it’s going to be the rainy season, so it’s not exactly what you really want from a safety point of view. It doesn’t look comfortable so far”, added the Italian.
