Franz Tost confirms Bourdais’ exit from Toro Rosso
Replacement driver to be announced soon
Scuderia Toro Rosso has officially confirmed that Sebastien Bourdais won’t be at the wheel of a STR4 starting from the upcoming 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix, scheduled for 26 July.
“In Sebastien’s second year with us, the partnership has not met our expectations and therefore we have decided to replace him as from the next round of the world championship, the Hungarian Grand Prix,” said STR boss Franz Tost.
Tost also said that Bourdais’ replacement driver will be announced soon, although Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari is expected to take his seat.
