Force India F1Force India confirmed that their first F1 car will be launched on February 7th in Mumbai. It is expected that Force India’s new car will have significant aerodynamics enhancements but the chassis will be based on (ex-Spyker) 2007 car. The new car will debut on February 25th at Barcelona’s Circuit where the F1 teams will have their last pre-season test session.

Giancarlo Fisichella, who has recently signed a deal with Vijay Mallya’s Indian team, believes that the team is making progress under the guidance of technical director Mike Gascoyne.

Fisichella said: “Even with lots of fuel and scrubbed tires we were closer to the other teams – it would have been interesting to see how close we got – but we are definitely making progress and going in the right direction. I’m pleased with how it’s going.”
