Ferrari: Barcelona testing report, day 3
On the final day of testing Scuderia Ferrari had exclusive use of Circuit de Catalunya track, in Barcelona. Felipe Massa and test driver Luca Badoer had a full race weekend simulation. The program included the third practice session, followed by the three qualifying sessions and the Grand Prix, along with all the relevant trackside procedures (pit stops).
While Massa completed successfully the simulation, his teammate Luca Badoer had to stop during the final stint of the race, since his F2008 had an oil leak. Felipe completed 95 laps with a personal best of 1’20”508 and Luca 75 with 1’21”808.
The team will resume testing on February 25th where Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher will test once again at Catalunya’s Circuit for the first of the three days of a test session.
