Fernando Alonso tops second Hockenheim practice
Vettel second quickest, Massa third.
Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso was the fastest man on track in the second free practice ahead of Sunday’s 2010 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.
Alonso set a best time of 1:16.265 (35 laps), beating by 0.029 seconds Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel (1:16.294, 26 laps) and by 0.173 team mate Felipe Massa (1:16.438, 37 laps).
Fourth time in the session for Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1:16.585, 40 laps), fifth for Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg (1:16.827, 32 laps), sixth for local hero Michael Schumacher (1:16.971, 20 laps), seventh for McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:17.004, 10 laps) and eighth for Renault’s Robert Kubica (1:17.009, 37 laps).
Ninth time for Williams’ Rubens Barrichello (1:17.056, 37 laps) ahead of team mate Nico Hulkenberg (1:17.204, 44 laps), Suaber’s Kamui Kobayashi (1:17.336, 44 laps), Renault’s Vitaly Petrov (1:17.547, 35 laps) and Sauber’s Pedro de la Rosa (1:17.573, 39 laps).
