Extraordinary General Assembly over Mosley scandal to be held on June

FIA Senate to meet on June 3rd, 2008 over Mosley scandalThe FIA Senate has confirmed through a statement that the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting demanded last week by FIA President Max Mosley in response to the sex scandal involving his private life, will be held on June 3rd, 2008. The meeting, will take place in Paris and will include a vote of confidence by secret ballot of more than 200 members of the FIA Senate.

The statement issued by the FIA Senate read:

“The FIA can confirm that the members of the Senate have unanimously approved the proposal of the President of the FIA, that further to the recent press coverage relating to his private life, an Extraordinary General Assembly should be convened.”

“The meeting will be held on June 3, 2008, in Paris. The General Assembly will include a vote of confidence by secret ballot.”
