Fabrizio BorraUnhappy to rely on the special ‘equality steward’ assigned from the FIA, Fernando Alonso has reportedly assigned his own pit observer for the 2007 championship finale. German newspaper Bild reports that Fabrizio Borra, who is Alonso’s long time physiotherapist, has been asked by the Spanish 26 year old to keep an eye on his McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton throughout the final grand prix of 2007 at Interlagos.

Carlos Gracia, Spanish motorsport president, asked FIA President Max Mosley for an official to be stationed in the team’s garage for his weekend following speculation of inequality and internal sabotage against Alonso’s title chances.

Bild claims that Italian Borra, who earlier this year was implicated in the qualifying pitstop delay in Hungary, will observe Hamilton and monitor things including his setup decisions and fuel and tire strategies.
