FerrariAfter a break of around a month, covering the period of the first three races of the Championship, testing resumed for the F1 teams, with almost everyone running as from today at the Catalunya Circuit, near Barcelona. As per the regulations, only one car can be used for tests held during the race season: on track for Ferrari was Felipe Massa.

The day’s technical programme included testing of new aerodynamic components and work on finding the best set-up for the F2008 on this track, which on 27th April will host the Spanish Grand Prix. In the afternoon, Massa also did some laps using the 2009 type of Bridgestone tyre. Felipe completed 77 laps in total recording a best time of 1:18.613s on the slick tyre. Massa’s best time on the 2008 grooved tyre was a 1:22.007s.

Testing will continue tomorrow, again with Felipe Massa on track.
