Bahrain - Sakhir International CircuitWhile Australian Grand Prix organizers seem to be reluctant for a night race, Bahrain Grand Prix bosses are considering the possibility to host their GP at night. “We’re surely not opposed to have our race at night” – Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sakhir’s Circuit Chief Operating Officer, told the local Gulf Daily News – “It is only natural that we have been gathering information about it, trying to determine its advantages and disadvantages…

“I have no knowledge of it being proposed for Bahrain, but it is a very interesting concept”. The newspaper said also that it would be a benefit for Bahrain to host the race at night, in order to have cooler temperatures and to allow more spectators to attend the GP after work, as Sunday is a normal weekday there.
