Fernando AlonsoDuring a sponsor event for Universia, a network of Universities in 15 countries whose president is Banco Santander chief Emilio Botin, double World Champion Fernando Alonso has suggested that he sees his future at the wheel of a Ferrari single-seater.

“Racing with Ferrari means even more than racing in formula one,” said the Spaniard. “Any child who plays with a red car knows it is a Ferrari: it means something more. When you are with Ferrari you will never be forgotten. Everyone knows that we drivers want to win races and so we want the best car, the best team.”

Asked if he would like to lead Ferrari back to the top of the f1 standings, Alonso told Spanish newspaper AS: “I like winning and having the best car, and Ferrari has proved that it always has one of the best. Ferrari has won eight of the last 10 F1 world championships; it’s team that gives drivers security which is something that not all teams can do.”
