Adrian Valles close to second US F1 race seat

Adrian Valles2009 Superleague Formula champion Adrian Valles has been recently linked with the US F1 team for a race seat in the 2010 Formula One world championship.

The 23-year-old Spaniard, who was Spyker’s official test driver in 2007, returned racing in the GP2 Series in 2008 and won the Superleague Formula championship last year.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the deal between Valles and the Charlotte-based team would be ‘almost ready’ and the announcement should come shortly.

“I’m sorry, I can’t talk. I just hope things don’t go wrong,” Valles would have told Marca.

The newspaper also claimed that Valles’ agent was in London on Wednesday in order to sign the final deal with US F1′s Sporting Director Peter Windsor.
