2009 Spanish GP: Button fastest in first practice

Brawn GP’ Jenson Button has showed again great pace by topping the timesheets in the first free practice session for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix. Button completed 21 laps, the fastest in 1:21.799 – 0.355 seconds quicker than second fastest Toyota’s Jarno Trulli (1:22.154).

Third and fourth fastest time for the BMW Sauber duo, with Robert Kubica (1:22.221) ahead of team mate Nick Heidfeld (1:22.658). The German was followed by Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima (1:22.659), Nico Rosberg (1:22.667), Renault’s Nelson Piquet jr (1:22.753) and Toyota’s Timo Glock (1:22.828).

9th fastest time for Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:22.855) followed by Rubens Barrichello (1:22.859) and team mate Kimi Raikkonen (1:22.873).
