2009 Australian GP, 1st free practice: Nico Rosberg fastest

Williams’ Nico Rosberg at the wheel of the FW31 was the fastest man on track as this season’s 1st free practice session took place at the Albert Park circuit in Australia. Rosberg clocked a 1:26.687, 0.049 seconds faster than his team-mate Kazuki Nakajima (1:26.736) and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen (1:26.750).
Fourth fastest time for Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello (1:27.226) ahead of McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen (1:27.453), Jenson Button (1:27.467), Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:27.642), Toyota’s Timo Glock (1:27.710), Force India’s Adrian Sutil (1:27.993) and Renault’s Fernando Alonso (1:28.123).
