2009 Abu Dhabi GP: Kovalainen fastest in practice 2

McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen has topped the timesheets in the second free practice for the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit. The Finn completed 35 laps, the fastest in 1:41.307.

Lewis Hamilton ended the session second fastest (1:41.504) ahead of Brawn GP’s Jenson Button (1:41.541), Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel (1:41.591), Toyota’s Kamui Kobayashi (1:41.636), Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi (1:41.683), Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1:41.684) and Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello (1:41.831).

15th time in the session for Force India’s Tonio Liuzzi (1:42.530) followed by Renault’s Fernando Alonso (1:42.782), Ferrari’s Giancarlo Fisichella (1:42.932), Renault’s Romain Grosjean (1:43.021) and Toro Rosso’s Jaime Alguersuari (1:43.022).

Last place for BMW’s Robert Kubica (1:43.708) who suffered an engine failure after 13 laps.
