2008 Turkish GP, Qualifying: Felipe Massa on pole
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa has snatched once again the pole position in today’s qualifying session for the 2008 Turkish Grand Prix. The Brazilian who clocked a 1:27.617 on his second flying lap was followed by McLaren-Mercedes’ duo with Heikki Kovalainen (1:27.808) ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton (1:27.923). Massa’s teammate and temporary championship leader Kimi Raikkonen managed to get only P4 for Sunday’s grid as on his attempt got caught behind Renault’s Fernando Alonso.
BMW’s Robert Kubica finished fifth with a 1:28.390 and was followed by Red Bull’s Mark Webber (6th – 1:28.417), Fernando Alonso (7th – 1:28.422), Jarno Trulli (8th – 1:28.836), Nick Heidfeld (9th – 1:28.882) and David Coulthard (10th – 1:29.959).
