2008 Malaysian GP, Practice: Red Bull Racing summoned by race stewards
The Red Bull Racing team has been summoned by the Malaysian GP race stewards following David Coulthard’s incident during the first free practice session. The Scot had a major accident on Turn 13: the front suspension on his RB4 collapsed when he touched the kerb and his car ran off the track.
The race stewards issued a statement expressing their concerns over RB4 suspension.
“Following a verbal report from the Race Director, the Team Principal and the Technical Representative are required to report to the Stewards of the Meeting to discuss the incident involving Car no. 9 during practice session 1 as soon as possible, after the end of practice session 2.”
