2008 German GP, 1st free practice: Hamilton fastest

HamiltonThe 1st free practice session for the German Grand Prix took place this morning at the Hockenheim circuit and McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was the fastest man on track. The Briton set a best time of 1:15.537 preceding his teammate Heikki Kovalainen. The Finn was followed by Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1:15.796), Fernando Alonso (1:16.163) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:16.327) rounding up the top five. Williams’ Nico Rosberg finished sixth (1:16.606) quickly followed by Toro Rosso’s Sebastian Vettel (1:16.618), BMW’s Nick Heidfeld (1:16.719) and Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima (1:16.821).
