2008 Canadian GP, 1st free practice: Felipe Massa on top

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa has topped the timesheets in a wet first practice session for Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix. The Brazilian completed 14 laps with the fastest in a 1:17.553. BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica finished second (1:17.809, 12 laps) and McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen third (1:18.133, 10 laps). Nick Heidfeld finished fourth (1:18.182, 13 laps), Kimi Raikkonen fifth (1:18.292, 12 laps), Lewis Hamilton sixth (1:18.303, 8 laps), Mark Webber seventh (1:18.712, 11 laps) and David Coulthard eighth (1:18.809, 12 laps).
