2008 Bahrain GP, Qualifying: Robert Kubica snatches first career pole

Robert KubicaBMW Sauber Polish driver Robert Kubica has snatched his first ever F1 career pole position with an outstanding flying lap (1:33.096) on the final seconds of Q3. Felipe Massa, despite a great performance, managed to get to P2 with 1:33.123, followed by Lewis Hamilton (1:33.292) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:33.418). Heikki Kovalainen finished on P5, Nick Heidfeld on P6, Jarno Trulli on P7, Nico Rosberg on P8, Jenson Button on P9 and Fernando Alonso on P10. The big surprise came from David Coulthard who was knocked out in Q1.
